Nominations sought for Fred Kavli Science at the Frontiers Lectures
The organizers of the Fred Kavli Science at the Frontiers Lectures are seeking nominations for the series’ next crop of speakers. In 2017, there will be two lectures at the Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington, D.C.. Nominations are due Aug. 31.
In an email sent to the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Madeleine Jacobs, the president and chief executive officer of the Council of Scientific Society Presidents, requested that nominators send to her the names, affiliations and short biographies of active researchers who should be considered for the honor.
Each lecturer will receive a $5,000 honorarium and reimbursement for travel expenses up to $2,500.
