NSF searches for director of the Division of Molecular and Cellular Biosciences

The Directorate for Biological Sciences of the National Science Foundation is searching for a new director for the Division of Molecular and Cellular Biosciences. The selected candidate will serve as the division director and member of the senior leadership team of the directorate as a whole.

The MCB supports research aimed at understanding complex living systems at the molecular, cellular and subcellular levels. The position duties will include directing activities of the division, determining needs and trends, developing strategic partnerships and plans, and shaping policy.

Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. or equivalent experience, substantial research contributions, and an understanding of the environment of and skills needed to manage a research institution.
