Thermo Fisher Scientific to present antibody-testing guidelines at AAI meeting in May
Thermo Fisher Scientific is working with top researchers, including the International Working Group for Antibody Validation (IWGAV), to help define and implement standards for antibody testing. Toward that end, Thermo Fisher Scientific is committed to adopting validation standards for its Invitrogen antibody portfolio in line with the recommendations of the IWGAV.
Using its new standard, Invitrogen antibodies are being tested for both target specificity as well as application validation to ensure proper functionality in experiments. For more information on these standards, you can visit the company’s antibody validation page, which outlines the key methodologies it is using to test its antibodies.
On May 13, at the American Association for Immunology meeting in Washington D.C., Matt Baker, director of strategy for antibodies, will present these guidelines and how they will be applied to help further advance validation practices at ThermoFisher Scientific.
