Stanford PRISM: Apply now for Stanford’s postdoc recruitment weekend
Applications are now being accepted for Stanford PRISM (Postdoctoral Recruitment Initiative in Sciences and Medicine). In mid-March, the PRISM program will host select late-stage graduate students from diverse backgrounds who are planning their postdoctoral training. The purpose of this weekend is to provide students who might not currently be considering a postdoctoral position at Stanford with a first-hand look at our training environment.
Travel and hotel will be covered by the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs. Current postdoctoral scholars will act as hosts as prospective postdocs tour the campus, meet with faculty, and learn about what it’s like to be a postdoc at Stanford. Our goal is to match excellent trainees to excellent mentors at Stanford.
This opportunity is open to all, though we encourage those from underrepresented backgrounds, including but not limited to African Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, or those with disabilities or from disadvantaged backgrounds, to apply. Travel expenses will be covered by Stanford. Applications consist of an application form, a CV, a research statement, a recommendation from your graduate advisor, and the names of up to 6 potential mentors at Stanford.
Application deadline: Jan. 15, 2018
PRISM program: March 14–17, 2018
