Submit to the Lasker Foundation essay contest
“How can social media help build trust in science and the research enterprise?” That’s the question the Lasker Foundation is asking contestants in its annual essay competition to answer in 800 words or fewer.
The first-place-winning essayist will receive $10,000 for educational expenses and a trip to New York in September. (The second- and third-place prizes aren’t too shabby either.)
Designed to engage emerging scientists and doctors in training in the U.S. and abroad, the essay contest welcomes submissions from the following:
- medical school students, interns, residents and fellows;
- doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows in biomedical research;
- graduate students in public health programs; and
- graduate students in other health professions programs.
The deadline to submit is March 30.
