Apply ASAP for a travel award for FASEB meeting on RNA

If you are interested in presenting your work at FASEB’s RNA Localization and Local Translation Conference this summer in Colorado, the deadline to submit an abstract is May 15. Also, if you are in need of a travel grant, you must apply for one by April 30.

The meeting will be held June 30 through July 5 in Snowmass Village, Colorado. (If that name doesn’t mean anything to you, think: Aspen.)

The organizers are are planning programming on the following topics:

  • Cytoplasmic mRNA transport
  • Translational control and mRNA surveillance
  • RNA biology in disease
  • RNA processing
  • RNP structure and biomolecular condensates
  • mRNA localization and local translation in neurons
  • RNA biology in developmental processes
  • Technological advances for studying RNA biology

ASBMB members Thomas Cech, a Nobel laureate, and Joan Steitz, a Lasker winner, are two of the three plenary lecturers.
